How English can make you tense
Estoy muy al pedo en estos días.
Cuando estoy así me pongo a pensar en cosas para ocupar mi tiempo, y quizás me enganche para hacer alguna certificación de inglés, o quizás de portugués. Por lo pronto cuelgo esto que me pasaron hace un tiempo para recordar los tiempos verbales en inglés, lo cual siempre me costó (inclusive en español :-P). Escrito por Alan R. Beresford.

Everyday I study my English,
Which is not as simple as it seems.
My head is continuously spinning;
Now verbs are turning in my dreams.
I was learning the Past Continuous,
Which unfortunately didn't last;
For, as I was happily going along,
Up jumped the Simple Past.
I had hoped to learn more quickly;
The Past Perfect I'd wanted to clear,
And it would've been much easier
If the Conditional hadn't appeared.
The Present Perfect I haven't perfected,
Though believe me how I've tried.
The Continuous I've been attempting;
I'm surprised I haven't cried.
The Future won't be simpler,
Of that I am quite sure.
It's going to be confusing
On the evidence of before.
As yet I haven't considered
The Future in the Past.
I was going to make an effort,
But it left me quite aghast.
But the thing that keeps me going,
As I struggle with each tense,
Is that maybe in the future
It just might make some sense.

Hoy después de 2 postergaciones pude ver en la página de Cambridge-ESOL el resultado del examen que di hace un par de meses. Como siempre la parte oral (en realidad el bloqueo mental que no deja salir las palabras) fue lo que me bajó la nota, pero por haber ido sin estudiar no me puedo quejar de la nota. Ya veré con que curso sigo
más adelante.
El domingo fui a la reunión del club del 206 a ver otros
yeyines y aproveché para reclamar mi calco del club.

I forgot to mention...
El sábado rendí el examen BEC en un instituto llamado International House en Recoleta (BTW, si algún día tengo hijos, quiero que estudien ahí!) . Rockeé el oral y el escrito, cosa rara porque en los writings normalmente pierdo puntos (estúpida televisión, me atrofió el cerebro); pero esta vez me fue bien, me sobró tiempo en cada paper y encima la pareja que me tocó en el oral la tenía bastante así que no me dejó hablando solo.
Ahora a ver qué preparo para la próxima... estoy entre el CPE y otro más intermedio, como para que pueda ir sin estudiar como fui esta vez :P
